Why did you join AAF?
AAF is the best ticket to the advertising industry at UCI! I wanted to meet people with the same interests as me and add people to my networking list. Getting involved with a club at school is a great way to grow as a leader and to decide what career you want to go with after graduation. Being involved in AAF has done just that and continues to help me mature as a person.

What is your favorite AD/Commercial? Why?
I think the Skittles commercial, with the man that turns everything he touches into Skittles, is hilarious! I think humor is a great way to catch a viewers attention- not only do you decide to NOT turn to another channel when that commercial comes on but, over 300,000 people have voluntarily watched that commercial on Youtube.

If you were able to work for one company, what would it be and why?
I would love to work for in the music business industry. I want to be able to incorporate communications with music! If not that, then I’d love to work for a company that keeps a young, lively and updated look like Disney, Apple, Quicksilver, etc.

What do you wan to do before you graduate?
Before I graduate I would love to study abroad, spend Christmas in New York, go indoor sky-diving, spend 48 hours at Disneyland, scout a band and turn them from undiscovered to famous, live by the beach and land an internship that will help me finalize my career path decision.

Other than spending time with AAF, what are some of your favorite activities?
I consider listening to music and discovering new songs and artists to be my favorite activity. Other favorite activities include going to school, working (really), spending hours with my friends, loving my family, going to concerts and festivals, looking forward to the future, and visiting new places like secret locations by the beach or amazing underrated restaurants.

Why did you join AAF?
I joined the Ad Club because I was looking for something to be a part of other than just going to class and studying. I found a great club that catered to all my interests and made me pursue my passion of creativity.

What is your favorite AD/Commercial? Why?
My favorite advertisements are the Disney print ads featuring well known celebrities posing as Disney characters. I found them to be so creative and original. Plus, the pictures were beautiful.

If you were able to work for one company, what would it be and why?
Stoelt Productions… It combines marketing, event planning and A LOT of creativity. Their whole company defines what I want to do in the future and I cannot wait to work there!

What do you want to do after you graduate?
Before I graduate, I want to be able to have my dream internship. This would be in a company that combines all my interests of design, PR, and event planning! Ideally, this internship would all take place in Paris! Oh, and learn French!

Other than spending time with AAF, what are some of your favorite activities?
Basically, I love decorating, making creative art projects, baking, and getting to dress up and find pretty little restaurants/cafes!!

Why did you join AAF?
I joined AAF to get more involved at UCI and explore potential career opportunities. Also I'm really excited to meet and work with new people and the experiences offered by AAF and NSAC are awesome.

What is your favorite AD/Commercial? Why?
A recent advertisement I enjoyed was a television commercial for the Toyota Yaris. It begins by showing a mechanical spider with gasoline tanks for legs and a tank for a body. The spider initially fills the entire screen and makes heavy mechanical noises as its steps seem to cause the ground to shake, however the shot zooms out and the spider becomes very small as it approaches the Yaris. It now sounds like a wind up toy and makes a comical screeching sound at the car, which shortly runs it over and sucks the gas into its own tank. This advertisement is very short and simple, involving no dialogue, however it is comical and communicates a strong visual message. When we see the up close shot of the spider we think of the monstrous gas prices that we are currently faced with. However the Yaris appears and makes this monster appear weak and insignificant, squashing the problem and even taking advantage of it. This communicates the freedom and power offered by a fuel efficient vehicle in our current economic state, while also making the commercial entertaining and memorable through comedy.

I would like to work for a company like Apple or Google. I enjoy the technology industry and I’m a huge fan of the personalities and creativity of these companies and I think they would be really fun to work with.<

What do you want to do after you graduate?
My biggest goal before I graduate is to get a clear idea of what I want my future career to look like and have a plan to achieve it. I’d also like to have a strong resume and study abroad at some point.

I enjoy eating, sleeping, listening to music, watching movies, playing video games, reading, sports, and just hanging out

To be honest, I'm not to sure what company I would want to work for. But for now, I think it would fun to work for NIKE or Google.

What do you want to do after you graduate?
Travel, start a business, move to San Francisco or New York, bungee-jump...too many things to list.

watching movies, and meeting new people.

Why did you join AAF?
I joined AAF because I’ve always been interested in designing and creating works that allure and captivate people. What better way for me to pursue my interests than to connect with others that share the same passion as I do? UCI does not provide adequate resources toward the field of advertising, but AAF is a strong gateway for those who want to explore on this subject. The organization offers a huge expanse of resources such as Agency Tours and the National Student Advertising Competition. AAF helps me push for my future career aspirations and lets me expand and improve on what I love to do most…Advertising.

What is your favorite AD/Commercial? Why?
I love AXE commercials because they are always so humorously creative. There’s this one commercial where a couple looks at each other and begins to make out. As they kiss, they roll around in the dirt. Soon the couple rolls into all these various things like people’s food on a picnic table, a dirty floor filled with oil, a tomato farm, and finally down a cliff where they fall into the ocean. As the couple falls down the cliff, a truck filled with AXE body wash swerves off the cliff to avoid the lovers. The commercial then cuts to a scene where the couple takes the floating body wash and washes each other up to be clean again. A tag line then appears soon after saying “ How dirty boys get clean”. This commercial caught my attention because initially I was curious at what the creators were trying to lead to. Secondly, as I watched the couples roll about, I couldn’t help but feel really dirty and in need of a wash myself. This AXE commercial is ingenious in the fact that it’s captivating, it makes the viewer want to use the product, and in the end it alludes back to the product’s “sexual” theme.

If you were able to work for one company, what would it be and why?
Growing up in an Asian influenced neighborhood, I’ve always loved the way Asians advertising to their audience. There’s a certain liveliness to their ad’s and I really hope to be able to bring that here to the States. I honestly don’t have a specific company that I want to work for, but I’m really looking for an agency that’s filled with energy and is willing to move into unexplored territories to seek new and innovative strategies to advertise.

What do you want to do after you graduate?
Since I am a Co-Account Director for NSAC this year, I would really like to be able to lead my team towards Nationals. In the short number of years that AdClub was established, our UCI NSAC team has exponentially improved to the point that even top schools in our district recognize us as a potential rival.

Other than spending time with AAF, what are some of your favorite activities?
Aside from AAF, I also like to do photography, watch Anime, play video games, snowboard, and hang out with friends.

Why did you join AAF?
I joined AAF because it's a great way to meet people who are as interested and passionate about a career in advertising.  AAF provides such amazing opportunities that I couldn't pass it up.

What is your favorite AD/Commercial? Why?
A couple ads that come to mind at the moment are the Truth anti-smoking ads and Cingular's Raising the Bar commercials.  I love the Truth ads because they are so in your face and straight up honest.  I don't think there hasn't been a Truth ad where my jaw dropped in awe at the facts that they present.   I love Cingular's Raising the Bar commercials because they are so creative.  They were able to use one idea – raised bars in familiar everyday settings - to convey two messages:  one, to state their intent as a company, and two, show that they provide quality phone service.

f you were able to work for one company, what would it be and why?
I'd love to work for Apple because they're always one step ahead of everyone.

What do you want to do before you graduate?
Go skydiving.  Learn to skim board without hurting myself.  Get better at surfing.  Go to Greece.  Try something I've never done before.

Spending time with my family, hanging out with friends, running, working out, playing tennis, snowboarding, surfing, spontaneous road trips, being front and center at concerts, 3AM burrito runs.  I'm down to do whatever, whenever.

What is your favorite AD/Commercial? Why?
I always enjoy the Target commercials/advertisements. They are very successful in using the power of the brand names they carry to increase their own brand awareness. Also I like how Target uses the same catchy Beatle’s song but always change the style of the song.

If you were able to work for one company, what would it be and why?
SBE because they are constantly delivering an innovative lifestyle and entertainment experience. If you haven't checked of some of their things you definitely should.

The Bud Light Swear Jar viral video comes to mind. It’s a simple, humorous concept that just might work

If you were able to work for one company, what would it be and why?
If I could work for one company, I would work for Blizzard. Although I hardly ever have time to play videogames, it would be great to be involved with a company so many people enjoy and the location is right here in Irvine.
